Train tickets for Christmas from 17.90 euros

When the timetable changes on December 10th, Deutsche Bahn wants to abolish the dining cars in the ICs

Important savings date for all Christmas travelers!

Deutsche Bahn will release its 2023/2024 winter timetable for booking on Wednesday (October 11th). This means: From then on, tickets for Christmas and New Year’s Eve will also be available.

From October 11th, tickets can be booked 179 days in advance again – including for Easter at the end of March. Unfortunately, the railway does not reveal an exact time of activation. Nevertheless: From midnight before you go to sleep, you should take a look at www.bahn.de.

Then you could be able to get hold of the cheapest super saver price tickers for Christmas trips starting at 17.90 euros (without BahnCard). For certain short journeys on the ICE, prices start at just 9.90 euros. With a BahnCard you get an additional 25 percent discount.

You probably know that at Christmas you will lose a fortune if booked at short notice. And it gets crowded: remember to reserve a seat.

No BahnCard yet? The railway has a good offer in store: The BahnCard 25 is available until October 31st for 33 euros in 2nd class and 66 euros in 1st class.
