Train drags car on the tracks in Anzegem

The train briefly dragged a car that hit the tracks. The woman in the car was trapped for a while but was freed by emergency services. Neighbors said the signaling was working at the level crossing.

There were about 100 people on the train who are now being taken to their destination by replacement buses.

The train is currently still at the level crossing and train traffic between Oudenaarde and Kortrijk is disrupted. Infrabel and the emergency services are on site. It is still unclear exactly how the accident happened.
