According to initial information, the truck driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries. There are also four minor injuries on the train with about 40 passengers.
Train traffic between Lichtervelde and Tielt has come to a standstill. The emergency services are on site with five ambulances and three mosquito vans. All passengers have now left the train.
