A trailer with two horses in it fell over on the A50 near Veghel on Saturday morning. Nothing was left of the trailer due to the accident, the horses were released with a fright. “Miraculously, the horses were fine!”
A vet who saw the accident happened immediately turned around and stopped to help. “The horses are doing well and were just quite shocked, just like the owners,” the Maashorst police said on Instagram.
A passerby with an empty trailer pulled the two horses off the highway. “Happy with all helpful citizens! #datislief”, the police write.

Due to the accident, the trailer was in the middle of the A50 in the direction of Oss to Eindhoven. Two lanes were closed and traffic was forced to use the hard shoulder. As a result, there was a queue of about five minutes.
The overturned trailer was towed away by a local recovery company.
