Motorsport.com reported that the Italian rally talent Matteo Doretto Died in the Polish European Rally tests on Wednesday.
Doretto, 21, had lost control of his car, after which he derailed and collided with a tree near Pasym’s small town.
Map reader Samuele Pellegrino26, survived without serious injuries. Doretto, who had serious injuries, was trapped in the car and died despite attempts in resuscitation.
Doretto won the Italian junior championship last year. He now drove for the first time in the junior class of the European Championship.
His best investment this season was the junior class third place in the Hungarian European Championship in May.
