The driver, it was a taxi, wanted to turn left onto Stationsweg, but for safety reasons visitors are only allowed to turn right off the parking lot.
The traffic controller tried to indicate that the motorist was only allowed to turn right, whereupon the driver would have accelerated and hit the victim. The traffic controller still jumped away, but the car ran over his foot.

A police spokesman confirmed that the traffic controller sustained injuries to his foot. The injury is not so serious that the victim had to be taken to hospital. The man went to the police station to file a report.
The driver of the car drove on towards Westelijke Randweg and is still on the run. The police have the license plate of the taxi and are looking in the area.
