It has been very busy on the highways from the coast to the interior since noon on Sunday. This has been heard from the Flemish Traffic Center. For a journey from Ostend to Brussels, for example, motorists around 4.30 pm have to count on a travel time of one hour and 45 minutes, half an hour more than without traffic jams. Due to the less favorable weather, the return of holidaymakers to the coast after an extended weekend on Sunday started earlier than usual.
