Due to an accident on the Rondweg (N391) in Emmen involving at least four cars, traffic is temporarily backed up in the direction of Ter Apel. The accident happened around 8:30 am near the GETEC site.
The accident quickly created a traffic jam between the exit to the industrial estate and the exit to Phileas Foggstraat, partly because the Rondweg was partly closed by the police.
Those involved in the accident were checked for injuries by ambulance personnel. At least two of the victims involved went to the hospital. The police are still investigating how the accident occurred.
