Antonio Morione, 41, the owner of a fish shop in Boscoreale, in the Neapolitan area, was killed in the late evening of Wednesday 23 December during a robbery he had opposed. He was hit in the face by only one of the four bullets fired by the bandits. The Carabinieri of the Company and of the Investigative Unit of Torre Annunziata found four 9×21 caliber shells in via della Rocca, where the shop is located. The criminals carried out the armed robbery, but the owner reacted and chased the robbers.
To ensure his escape, one of the bandits fired a few gunshots, seriously injuring Morion, who died shortly after being taken to the hospital. Shortly before Morione’s death, another fish shop in Boscoreale had been robbed. It happened in via Diaz and one of the criminals fired a gunshot inside the shop. Nobody was hurt. Investigations are underway to ascertain whether the same gang is involved. The military found in via Diaz a cartridge case of the same type as those found in via della Rocca.
