The serious violence in which a detainee was seriously injured in the Antwerp detention center could have been caused by the “marginal working conditions” for the staff and the overcrowding in the prison. That is what the common trade union front says. The victim was tortured by cellmates for at least three, possibly four days without the staff being able to determine this, it said.
