Track sprinter Alessa-Catriona Pröpster remains in second place in the overall ranking after the third round of the UCI Track Champions League. However, the gap to leader Ellsesse Andrews from New Zealand has increased.
Pröpster took fifth place in the sprint on the Olympic track in St. Quentin-en-Yvelines near Paris and then won the keirin. Keirin world champion Andrews leads with 105 points ahead of Pröpster (96).
In the men’s category, double world champion Theo Reinhardt took 13th place in the scratch and also 13th place in the elimination race. In the overall ranking, the 33-year-old is still in 17th place among 18 drivers.
The UCI Track Champions League ends next week with a double event on the Olympic track in London.
The only German overall winner in 2021 was Emma Hinze in the sprint.
