41 miners lost their lives in the mining explosion in Bartın last week. Trabzonspor launched the ‘Saving Hands’ campaign for the families of the miners who lost their lives after the tragedy that caused great sadness. Gloves signed by the team’s goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır in the Beşiktaş match played in the 10th week of the Super League as part of the campaign were auctioned on an online platform.
FIRST OFFER FROM AĞAOĞLU
Trabzonspor Chairman Ahmet Ağaoğlu made the first bid in the auction in order to encourage the benefactors to the campaign. Mayor Ağaoğlu became the first person to join the campaign by offering 100 thousand TL for captain Uğurcan’s gloves.

In a statement made by Trabzonspor, “We are launching the Recovering Hands Campaign in order to support the families of our 41 miners who lost in the mining accident. We are putting the gloves worn by our castle’s savior Uğurcan Çakır during the Beşiktaş match to auction. The first offer is started by our President, Mr. Ahmet Ağaoğlu, with 100 thousand TL. “We call on all of Turkey to support Bartın.”
