The football player, who started football at the age of 16 in the infrastructure of İskenderunspor and grew up in this club, made his debut in Gaziantepspor’s PAF team and improved this further by being promoted to the A team at the age of 18.
He played as the playmaker in the number 10 position until the 2006-2007 season, and with the guidance of his teammates from Iskenderun, Selçuk Inan and Mehmet Mostm, he decided on left-back.
After this change, he managed to become one of the successful defenders of the Super League.
