TRABZONSPOR NEWS – Enis Destan announced his dream league!

Trabzonspor’s 21-year-old striker Enis Destan said that he wants to win new trophies with Trabzonspor, achieve the target goal and assist threshold, leave his mark in Trabzonspor and then play in the German football league Bundesliga.

Trabzonspor’s young forward Enis Destan gave an interview to the magazine of the claret-blue club. Speaking about the transfer process to Trabzonspor, Destan said, “I was having a good season in Altınordu. During that period, like everyone else, I had dreams of playing in Europe and offers started to come. We were constantly talking about the developments with my family, president and coaches. At that very moment, I received an offer from Trabzonspor. “If you receive an invitation from a very big club, you inevitably turn there. Trabzonspor was playing for the championship that season. I made the decision in a very short time after the offer came. When I look back, I made the right decision because I was in the right place,” he said.

“I ALSO PLAYED AS A STOPPER AND NUMBER 6 WHEN NEEDED”

Destan, who stated that he played as a forward in the younger age groups and went to Altınordu as a forward, but also reminded that he played in the defender position due to the need there, said, “My coach started me playing as a defender because of the need there. I think I was successful and it continued like that for a few seasons. But with my teacher and the president.” I always discussed this, saying that I would be better at forward. Before the season started, I was playing as a forward, but when the matches started, I switched to centre-back again out of necessity and continued like that. The last time I was in U17, I played forward again in a few matches at the beginning of the season. This time, when I performed very well, I finally stayed in the position I wanted. “But after being promoted to the A team, I played as a center back and number 6 many times when we got ahead in the matches and when needed. I am used to those positions. Now, when needed, I do my best in defense. But the place where I am most productive is of course forward.”

“THE PERIOD I SPENT AT WARTA POZNAN ADDED A LOT TO ME”

Regarding his experiences during the period he spent in Poland’s Warta Poznan team, where he went on loan, the young striker said, “I had a hard time at first, but I think it was perfect afterwards. It taught me a lot at a young age. I almost collapsed psychologically. It was very bad for me for 2-3 months and everything was fine.” I almost gave up. But with the help of the club’s perspective and my family and friends, I overcame this process and became stronger afterwards. That resilience was a great experience at that age, and I will never give up on anything, in any way. It doesn’t matter on or off the field: Fighting is my job. “What I experienced in Poland contributed a lot to me both physically and mentally. I learned professionalism better. I may not have been able to do much statistically, but I think I came back having made great progress in many aspects,” he said.

“I WANT TO PLAY IN BUNDESLIGA”

Referring to his goals for the future, Enis Destan said, “I have many goals in the short term, the more I achieve them, the more motivated I become, and this pulls me up. First of all, I want to lift new trophies with Trabzonspor, reach the goal and assist threshold that I target, and achieve them one by one.” “I love Trabzonspor, this club, this community very much. Apart from that, I also follow the matches of Altınordu and Bayern Munich with curiosity. I want to leave my mark here and then play in the Bundesliga, which I love very much,” he said.

“I CONFIDENT IN MY HEADS ON AIR BALLS”

Explaining that he is a combative player and emphasizing that he trusts air balls and headers, Destan said, “But I need to improve further. Extra training is important for me. I focus on speed and quickness work. In addition to scoring goals, being a wall and a passer is very important as a striker. “At the end of the training, we analyze this with my teachers. I watch it on the screen, determine what I should do and what I should not do, and play accordingly.”

“I VALUED THE TIME THE BALL LEFT IN THE PLAY”

The young player stated that some of the teams that took the lead or needed points during the match stopped a lot to cool down the game and pass the time, so the time the ball remained in play was shortened, and said, “I would value the time the ball remained in play. Some of the teams that took the lead or needed points stopped to cool down the game and pass the time.” “He stops a lot to pass the time, thus the time the ball stays in play is shortened and therefore the excitement decreases. I don’t know what kind of application it will be, but I believe that finding a solution to this, including stopping the timers like in basketball, will increase the joy of football,” he said.
