The Turku club is strengthening its ranks.

TPS has made contracts with the goalkeeper by Filip Lindberg and defender Roni Sevänen with. Iltalehti reported on Sevänen’s contract already in February and Lindberg’s on Tuesday.
Sevänen joins Tepsi with a three-year contract. The west coast is a familiar place for the defender. In the previous two seasons, Sevänen, 28, played in Pori Ässi and before that in Rauma Luko, in whose ranks he also celebrated the Finnish championship in the spring of 2021.
Lindberg will get his first League matches under his belt in the ranks of TPS. The 24-year-old Pittsburgh Penguins reservation in the 2019 reservation event played the previous five seasons in North America. The last two seasons were spent in the Pens’ AHL club, but there was no call up.
Lindberg’s trophy cabinet contains the World Youth Championship gold from the 2019 Games. In addition, he celebrated the 2021 United States University Series championship. At that time, he was selected as the tournament’s most valuable player.
TPS also informed Valtteri Pullin heading towards the NHL. The 22-year-old defenseman signed a rookie contract with the San Jose Sharks.
