Kalle Rovanperän the victory seemed completely clear before the last special stage of the Tunturiralli. Then Toyota Yaris Rally1 had a problem, and Rovanperä’s overwhelming lead turned into an interruption.
Rovanperä opened the reasons for the suspension on his X account on Saturday evening. It wasn’t a driving error.
– Unfortunately, we had to cancel the last special test due to technical problems. It’s a pity that we didn’t get to drive to the finish line. But we got a lot of valuable kilometers in the bank before World Rally Sweden, and that’s the main thing.
The race was Rovanpera’s first of the season behind the wheel of a rally car.
