Two days before the European Championship game against Spain, German midfielders Lena Magull and Sydney Lohmann only trained to a limited extent.
With Magull, it was purely a precautionary measure, the German Football Association announced on Sunday. The 27-year-old from FC Bayern Munich had shone with the opening goal in the 4-0 opening win of the European Championships against Denmark, but after being substituted she reported slight problems in her rear thigh.
Her club colleague Lohmann has slight knee problems, according to the DFB. The selection of the record European champions meets title candidate Spain in the second group game on Tuesday (9 p.m. CEST/ZDF and DAZN).
