Tourist risks 3,000 euros fine for stealing 41 kg of boulders from Sardinian beach

A Frenchman has been arrested after stealing 41 kilograms of pebbles from Lampianu beach in Sardinia. He risks a fine of up to 3,000 euros. The white sandy beaches of Sardinia are world famous, but taking, holding or selling sand, pebbles, stones or shells from the coast or the sea is punishable.
