Tour peloton via Belgium to the French Ardennes ANP

The longest stage of the Tour de France leads from Binche in Belgium to the French Ardennes on Thursday. At 12.15 pm the peloton will leave for a stage in which the first two mountains of the third category are located. The top of the latter is 5 kilometers before the finish, while the road also climbs in finish place Longwy. The riders are expected there around a quarter past five.

Wout van Aert is again wearing the yellow jersey, even though the Belgian from Jumbo-Visma had a difficult day in Wednesday’s cobblestone stage. Had he lost the yellow, Van Aert would always have had the green jersey. It is still worn by Fabio Jakobsen, the number 2 in the points classification. The Dane Magnus Cort still wears the mountain jersey.
