In the first stage with arrival in Bagheria a winning sprint in the blue jersey for the Romagna rider who preceded Moschetti (Trek Segafredo)
Matteo Malucelli, with the national team jersey, won the first stage of Il Giro di Sicilia. In the 199 km from Milazzo to Bagheria the blue preceded Matteo Moschetti (Trek – Segafredo) and Filippo Fiorelli (Bardiani Csf Faizanè) in a sprint. Matteo Malucelli is also the leader of the general classification and wears the Yellow Red Jersey. Historic day for Italy because the success in Sicily marks the first victory in the flagship for the coach Daniele Bennati.
In the last kilometers driving the sprinter were also seen the “senators” Damiano Caruso and Vincenzo Nibali who in this stage race compete with the blue jersey.
