Johannes Hosflot Klaebo has won the third stage of the Tour de Ski. The Norwegian prevailed over 10 km in Oberstdorf against his compatriot Simen Hegstad Krüger. Didrik Tonseth (NOR) was third. In the overall ranking of the Tour de Ski, the 26-year-old was able to extend his lead over Paal Golberg from Norway.
The conditions in the Allgäu were not easy: warm temperatures and rain wrested everything from the helpers in Oberstdorf to be able to hold a race at all. But Klaebo was not impressed by the circumstances and routinely completed his program.
After three kilometers, last year’s winner of the tour took the lead and gradually increased the lead. The five-time Olympic champion mastered the demanding climbs effortlessly. At the finish, the Norwegian was 12.4 seconds ahead of Krüger.
