Tour de France | Because Vingegaard wears yellow: Geschke continues in the mountain jersey

Professional cyclist Simon Geschke lost his mountain jersey to Jonas Vingegaard, who was first overall, after nine days in the Tour de France. Nevertheless, the 36-year-old will continue to wear the red dotted dress.

How can that be? As long as Vingegaard wears the yellow jersey as the leader, the runner-up in the mountains classification has to step in as a deputy. That’s still Geschke, who is behind Vingegaard (72) on 64 points. But he can no longer overtake the Dane. There are only three mountain points left to get on the last three stages.
