Tougher police action against illegal electric scooters

“The time of warning is really over,” says local police officer Ron Metsemakers in Roermond. “There are only a few e-steps that are allowed on the road, moreover, these are models that are not sold much. In addition, they must simply be used on the bicycle path and they may not be used in pedestrian areas,” said the local police officer. “We will immediately draw up an official report and we can confiscate the scooter a second time.”
