Salary question not the problem
Tanguy Ndombélé is once again a candidate for a change around two and a half years after his €60 million move to Tottenham Hotspur. The 25-year-old midfielder was not in Antonio Conte’s squad in either the Premier League or the EFL Cup.The Athletic“ just alone. After a transfer in the past change periods always failed, according to the portal, the right interested party should now have been found in Paris Saint-Germain, but apparently, according to a new report from “Telefoot”, this door is already closed again.
The top French club has already lost a midfielder in Rafinha (28; Real Sociedad) in winter, and coach Mauricio Pochettino is said to be dissatisfied with the development of summer signing Georginio Wijnaldum (31). It was also Pochettino who steered Ndombélé to London, where the Frenchman is still under contract until 2025. In focus at PSG, they had that too Fabrizio Romano from “Sky” and Loïc Tanzi As reported by “RMC Sport”, Ndombélé was loaned out until the end of the season – ideally with a purchase option. The only question left was the salary. According to Tanzi, Tottenham insisted on a 100% takeover.
Like on Saturday though Telefoot reporter Julien Maynard reported that the question of salary is by no means between the parties, rather the problem is simply the lack of space in the PSG squad, which the Parisians would not have been given for Ndombélé. A loan is therefore off the table.
reboot elsewhere? Tottenham’s Ndombélé’s wasted time in London
After his more or less wasted time at Spurs, Ndombélé could make a fresh start with an initial loan, although apparently not at PSG. He reached his highest market value – 65 million euros – in the summer of 2019, at that time still in the service of Olympique Lyon. At Tottenham he had his best time between autumn 2020 and spring 2021, otherwise it mostly went downhill in terms of market value for the seven-time international. There are rumors about a move to Valencia or AS Roma.
