After the market value fell on Tuesday

There was a further devaluation for Mathys Tel in the Premier League market value update. Even if things could be going better in terms of sport at the moment, there was some positive news for the ex-Bayern professional on Tuesday: he can hope for his first Champions League appearance for Tottenham Hotspur.

After Tel was surprisingly not called up to his team’s premier class squad in the summer, he is now replacing Dominic Solanke several months late. The 28-year-old center forward has been out since the start of the season with an ankle injury and played his last game in August. UEFA allows a change in the squad during the first half of the season if a player is injured for at least 60 days.

Tel was signed from Munich for 35 million euros last summer after a loan. The Frenchman appeared in 13 games this season and scored two goals, but is not selected. The 20-year-old was last in the starting line-up in the Premier League in October, which is why the market value update fell from 35 million to 30 million euros.
