Tottenham’s iconic attack of the Äjä Son Heung-min33, said goodbye to the London club on Sunday after ten years. He was able to do it emotionally at home in South Korea.
Son announced his decision to leave the club at a press conference on Saturday morning.
Son’s farewell was seen in a 1-1 training match between Tottenham and Newcastle United in Seoul, where the audience and players showed him with standing applause and honor.
When the son was changed from the field at an hour, the tears opened.
– It was a perfect moment. These moments come to mind for the rest of your life. I’m really grateful to fans, teammates and coaching, Son said Tottenham on the website.
Son especially thanked his coach, who, according to him, understood the situation and supported him in decision -making.
– Spurs is always in my heart. I wish the team success in all five races they are facing. I hope they win all of them.
Son represents Tottenham since 2015, playing 333 matches in the club and scoring 127 goals. The last two seasons he served as the captain of the team.
Last spring, he celebrated his first trophy when Tottenham won the European League Championship.
Son, who has been selected as the Asian player of the Year for as many as nine times, is one of the largest sports stars in South Korea, and now one of the most beloved names in Tottenham’s history.
According to several sources, the MLS club LAFC is interested in getting Son in its ranks.
