Tensions in Russia are easing now that Wagner’s troops have withdrawn after the armed uprising. Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin agreed with Putin and the Belarusian president to end the mutiny and move to Belarus, while the Kremlin promises it will not prosecute the Wagner mercenary army soldiers involved. “Putin will come out of this absolutely weakened,” said Russia expert Carolien van Nunen in an extra broadcast of VTM NEWS. “The fact that he cannot guarantee internal security in his own country is problematic.”
