The entity brings together more than 300 people in the Marqués de Comillas room of the Museu Marítim
Two decades ago, people and organizations from different fields came together with a common goal: to improve the situation in the Raval, one of the four neighborhoods of Ciutat Vella and the “most diverse”, as he underlined this Wednesday. Mohammed Halhoulthe president of the Tot Raval Foundation, which is the entity that resulted from that sum of people and organizations. The data defends the definition: 48,688 people of more than 40 nationalities live in the Raval in one square kilometer.
The foundation has celebrated its twentieth anniversary in a ceremony held in the Marqués de Comillas room of the Museu Marítim, near the sea. And where ships were built, there have been parliaments and memories of a work that has left its mark.

La Tot Raval is the oldest community foundation in Catalonia and Spain and is made up of some 50 social entities, educational centres, cultural institutions, trade associations and individuals. It works in a network collaborating with more than 300 entities in different fields, from health to culture, through job placement, education and the promotion of community participation.

The act has been able to listen to an excerpt from ‘La gata perduda’, a community opera composed by Arnau Tordera and sung by people from the Raval scheduled for next October 5 and 7 at the Liceu.
