Torture practices: phalanges cut off and beaten on foot with a hammer

A 35-year-old resident of Eindhoven, who was arrested in prison in Vught on Monday, cut off another man’s phalanges. He also hit him on the foot with a hammer in Eindhoven. The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has announced this.

According to the Public Prosecution Service, the Eindhoven resident lured his victim to a shed or garage in June 2020. That is why there is talk of kidnapping and torture. They would have been dealing with a batch of missing drugs.

The man allegedly tied up and blindfolded the victim and then tortured him. The victim was seriously injured. He suffered a broken foot, among other things.

The suspect was arrested on the day he was supposed to be released to care for a sick sister. He had been incarcerated since November for a drug case and weapons possession.

The new arrest was made possible on the basis of encrypted chat messages. The Public Prosecution Service assumes that the suspect was helped by other people.
