Torres postpones Germany tour 2022 – here are the new dates

“Rock should be dead? Who says that nonsense? There’s Torres, our wide-legged heroine.”

This is how ME author Stefan Hochgesand began his review of THIRSTIER, Torres’ current album, which was released in July 2021, was our album of the week at the time and was voted 10th in our list of the 50 best albums of 2021 months later. ME editor Hella Wittenberg summed it up: “Listening to Torres’ development is simply fun. Her fifth record confirms that she has long outgrown the indie singer-songwriter number. Now she relies on expansive rock anthems that always present everyday things a little more brilliantly than one would initially think. ‘Before my wild happiness, who was I if not yours?’ she states, for example, in ‘Hug From A Dinosaur’. How beautifully can you please sing about love?! With her, these moments are underscored by a thunderous, roaring guitar carpet, which is so combined with her admonishing to longingly tugging voice that one just wants to celebrate: Finally an epic!”

We were correspondingly pleased that the American songwriter Mackenzie Ruth Scott, as Torres’ real name is, wanted to tour in March 2022 – presented by the Musikexpress. Well: This tour, like so many tours, has to be postponed. The five planned German concerts are to be made up for in August and September. Including an appearance at the Golden Leaves Festival, also presented by Musikexpress.

On January 26th we launched a digital space that we set up for bands, musicians, promoters, clubs and solo self-employed people in the live music business. There everyone can communicate their concert announcements, postponements and cancellations and find out about projects, jobs and special releases. Statements can also be posted and opinions discussed.

It’s a kind of digital “bulletin board” and is intended to help the music scene get through the Covid crisis relatively unscathed.

Send your information and comments (maximum 700 characters) for (free) publication, preferably with a photo, to: [email protected]. The BackToLive page can be found at musikexpress.de/backtolive.
