The former president of the Generalitat Quim Torra has attacked the secessionist parties -ERC, JxCat and CUP- understanding that “their objective is not independence”: “It is a relay race that is interrupted. There is a cut that all parties have accepted,” she lamented.

In an interview with TV3, Torra has assured that during this legislature in the independence movement there have been “setbacks we can’t afford”while criticizing the dialogue table with the State Government for not having “any reason for being or any objective”.

For this reason, he has urged the current Catalan president, Pere Aragonès, to “reflect on what political tour the legislature has”, because “when there are these discrepancies in everything, this deep reflection must be made”.

“What the citizens are asking for is that with 52% (of independence votes in the last elections) they do the favor of making a shared proposal to advance towards the independence“, he assured.

Torra has also criticized the text agreed upon by ERC, JxCat, PSC and the commons on the linguistic model of the Catalan school -from which JxCat later dropped-, because does not “represent” you, and he has assured that if he were still president he would have ordered the directors of the educational centers to fail to comply with the sentence on 25% of classes in Spanish.

Likewise, he has said that he would like to see the former president of Òmnium as presidents of the Generalitat Jordi Cuixart or the former minister and current MEP Clara Ponsati.
