Fresh European champion of the 1500 meter hurdles Top Raitanen got sick with corona. Mitalisankari informed about it on his Instagram account.
– For two and a half years, we ran away from all viruses. Now I lost the fight against corona, Raitanen writes.
Raitanen was supposed to run for the first time as European champion in the GP race in Lappeenranta tomorrow.
– First of all, apologies to the public of Lappeenranta for not being able to run 1,500 meters. It would have been very nice to aim for a hard time and get to run in front of the home crowd.
Raitanen says that he is going one day at a time in terms of recovery.
