Topi Parviainen was in her own category in the javelin final at the under-18 European Championships.

Top Parviainen15, has won the European Under-18 javelin gold in Jerusalem.
Parviainen threw 84.52 in the final, which is also his new own record. Parviainen improved his record by more than 9 meters.
The flock fanned wildly after its throw. The winning throw came on the sixth throw.
– The skill of the last round has been missing for some time, but now it has been found again, Parviainen said in the press release of the Finnish Sports Association.
– Already during the warm-up, I felt that today would go a long way. But I didn’t expect such a hard throw.

Runner-up Hungary Máté Horváth left Parviainen’s result by more than 10 meters. His best throw carried 73.72 meters. The Netherlands won the EC bronze Ryan Jansen with a result of 72.10.
Another Finn was also seen in the final, when Otto Hämäläinen was tenth with a result of 60.51. In the final, a 700 gram javelin was thrown.
Topi Parviainen’s uncle is the spear world champion Aki Parviainen. Her father too Mika Parviainen has thrown more than 80 meters in his career.
