Topi Parviainen Ranked eighth in the spear throw in the European Under-20 European Championships in Tampere. The best of the day was the second round spear arc, which carried 67.87 meters. The result was a disappointment for the young shooter.
– Yes, I started to make a profit. The qualifying was waiting for better, Parviainen was annoyed after the race.
The 18-year-old spearman investigated the previous day’s qualifier with his first throw, carrying 70.90 meters to the spear.
– It came at a walk. Probably today should have been thrown at a quieter pace.
In the finals, technical problems were plagued by performance.
– Not only did it work, I didn’t even try to overcome, Parviainen summed up.
The Finn found the level of the competition reasonable. The victory went to Spanish To Rafael Mahiques with 76.30 meters. The second was German Oskar Jänicke (76.17 meters) and the third in Poland Roch krukowski (76.01 meters).
– Yes, I too should be able to throw in those readings.
The best of the season promise and at the same time your own record is recorded at 71.71 meters.
Spear throwing in the blood
At least the performance should not be caught in the genus. Topi Parviainen is a world champion of spear throwing and once over 90 meters Aki Parviainen brother’s son.
Uncle made a tight call to her brother’s son the day after qualifying.
– He called and said “devil into the ring”. I couldn’t do it today, Parviainen laughs.
Like many spearmen, Parviainen has also suffered injuries during the season. Technology problems go partly to their peak.
– If you think about throws three years ago, then the technology worked for every throw. Now it is completely lost.
