Nättinen said the symptoms began on Independence Day when the little finger and anonymous of his left hand began to numb. Nättinen did not seek treatment until December 22, when his face was missing.

– I answered the ambulance paramedic just in case. I still don’t know what I told them, Nättinen said.
The specimen was taken to Jyväskylä Central Hospital, where two cerebral infarctions were diagnosed. Nättinen spent the rest of the year in ward care in Meilahti, Helsinki.
– That’s where the wild fatigue started. The head is a hell of a headache if you have a little chat with people or go to the bathroom. I ate and slept, I did nothing else.
Recovery
The cause of the heart attack is unknown. He recovers to normal, but has to eat a blood thinner for the rest of his life.
After leaving the hospital, Nättinen has attended therapy where emotions have been reflected.
– At the end of February, when the Therapist asked how I could, I collapsed and broke down completely. For me, as surely everyone is, uncontrollable and unpredictable crises are ones that take time to deal with, Nättinen opened.
Nättinen, 28, ended his career at the end of the 2020–21 season, after which he has worked as Yle’s hockey expert and assistant coach for the Jokerie U18 team.
