Amourricho van Axel Dongen has extended his contract with Ajax until the summer of 2027. The previous contract of the 18-year-old talent ran until mid-2023. After the summer break, the fast wing attacker will also join the selection of Ajax 1.
Van Axel Dongen started playing football at Zeeburgia and OSV in Amsterdam. In 2013 he joined Ajax’s youth academy. In 2021 he received the Abdelhak Nouri Trophy for the greatest talent of the youth academy. More than two years ago, on December 15, 2021, Van Axel Dongen already made his debut for Ajax 1, during a cup match between Ajax and Barendrecht.
So far, the right leg has come into action three times for the main force. In addition, he played 23 matches for Jong Ajax, in which he scored three goals.
