To date, no player from a team that was promoted to a European top 10 league for the new season has collected more scorer points than the best. Five goals and five assists result in ten scorers, three more than the first pursuers Best, which also includes teammate Tim Kleindienst (five goals, two assists) and Granada’s Bryan Zaragoza. FC Bayern has just secured the latter for next season, costing 13 million euros.

Two players who have already collected seven scorer points with a promoted team are followed by four professionals with six goals so far – including ex-Bremer and St. Paulian Lennart Thy, who scored four goals in the first twelve Eredivisie games of the season at PEC Zwolle and contributed two assists. FCH attacker Eren Dinkçi, who is on loan from Werder, has also been directly involved in six goals, but is missing from this ranking because he already played first-class in 2022/23.

There are two more candidates from the second German newcomer Darmstadt 98 in the top 30. Marvin Mehlem and Tobias Kempe are represented with five and four scorer points respectively. Lyle Foster is particularly eye-catching, as he scored five goals in just seven games for Premier League promoted FC Burnley before he had to sit out due to recently discovered mental health problems.
