Eva Jinek receives fierce criticism from one of her colleagues at RTL, namely Rob Goossens. The expert from RTL Boulevard thinks that the presenter should take into account a salary discount.
The transfer of Eva Jinek to RTL has probably not turned out to be the success that was hoped. Her ratings are not great and she is on vacation for most of the year. And that for allegedly 1.2 million euros per year. Her contract expires at the end of next year. Then Eva has cashed a lot, but she has to hand in, thinks Rob Goossens.
‘Eva not indispensable’
Rob points out that Eva does not put in any special performance on RTL. He states that the current talk show of the station, RENZE, is about as successful. “I think that everyone at RTL will look back on Renze Klamer’s debut quite satisfied, except for one person: Eva Jinek,” he says in his column in Veronica Superguide.
Eva has been clumsy, Rob thinks. “She came to RTL as the big talk show star at the beginning of last year, (…) but then choked by going on vacation for half the year. At that time, Beau, Humberto and now Renze showed that Eva is not indispensable. Renze is also ten years younger.”
Big salary discount?
Does this mean that Eva will leave RTL after four years? “Eva won’t be fired at the end of her current contract. It just makes it more difficult to explain why she earns a salary with six zeros.”
Rob agrees with other critics, who also predict a salary cut. A TV insider has told weekly magazine Story that RTL 4 wants to significantly reduce Eva’s mega salary.
Not
TV celebrity Bert van der Veer also thinks that Eva does too little for that million-dollar salary. She needs to do more, he recently suggested. “If she doesn’t, I can imagine that RTL will talk to Eva about her contract and salary.”
Too bad for Eva, Party magazine called it. “She was used to everything she touched turning to gold. But that’s just how it works in the TV world.”
Mega quarrel
Incidentally, Eva and Rob have an unprecedented fight with each other. She lashed out at him early last year because he suggested on television that she was pregnant again.
Eva snorted: “I couldn’t believe what I saw. That an uninformed person (Rob, ed.) in a gossip program like RTL Boulevard can just say something like that – it would be your job to deliver such nonsense. (…) And that a woman (Bridget Maasland, ed.) is collaborating! Those two, in my view, have been completely disqualified.”
