Armando’s sales continue to capture the imagination. The prize raised 1.2 million euros. But that is no longer a record since an anonymous buyer from China paid 1.6 million euros for a pigeon.
Joël’s offering now also includes several descendants of Armando. But with such an auction you always have to wait and see.
“It’s a bit slow at first, but the real buyers and the real bidders wait until the last few hours and then it can be hectic,” says Joël.
“Just like it happened with Armando. It was in the last hours that his price tripled. Then the buyers come into play. So on December 17, if you want to buy a pigeon: just let it go.”
