TOP Oss surprises Roda JC, trouble at Willem II again

TOP Oss has booked a surprising 3-0 victory over Roda JC. For the two other Brabant clubs in the Kitchen Champion Division that came into action this Friday evening, it was an evening to quickly forget.

FC Eindhoven left three points behind competitor Heracles Almelo (3-0) and Willem II – Almere City FC was interrupted again after misbehavior by supporters. In addition, the home team had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

TOP Oss – Roda JC 3-0
Substitute Jearl Margaritha was the hero this evening of TOP Oss. With a beauty of a goal, he made it 2-0 and in extra time he won a penalty, which he used himself. In the 62 minute, Roshon van Eijma had opened the score with a mighty header. Ten minutes later, Margaritha, who had just come in, got the ball under control, steamed towards Roda JC’s goal, seemed to lose the ball, but remained icy calm: 2-0. In the 93rd minute, TOP’s number 7 determined the final score at 3-0.

For example, the number 18 in the ranking of the number 5 won TOP because of the win several places.

Heracles Almelo – FC Eindhoven 3-0
With a big win, FC Eindhoven could have been the leader until Monday at least. However, the number three in the rankings was already 0-2 behind after 33 minutes and did not recover from those blows. Justin Hoogma and Mateo Les signed for the goals of leader Heracles. After more than an hour, Marco Rente made it 3-0 and it was really the end of the exercise for the Blues and Whites.

The team from Almelo had three points more than FC Eindhoven before this twelfth round. There are now six, a lesser turn for the formation of trainer Rob Penders, who had started the season so incredibly well.

Willem II – Almere City FC 1-1
A penalty kick used by Jeredy Hilterman in the 22nd minute resulted in the only goal for a long time. Willem II fell short for its own audience, which was confronted with a special situation at the end of the first half. Referee Laurens Gerrets directed the two teams to the dressing room, while there were still a few minutes to go. The reason for this decision was the fact that things had been thrown on the field. Fortunately, this time it stopped.

The remaining minutes were played after the restart, after which the teams switched halves and the second 45 minutes could begin. This was not inspiring, although Willem II was still level in the 65th minute by 33-year-old Jeremy Bokila. There was nothing more in it for the Tilburg team, which was whistled at the final whistle by its own fans.

Two weeks ago, the home game against FC Den Bosch was stopped for almost an hour and a half due to unrest and riots in the stands. The professional football prosecutor is investigating this case.
