The contestants of the Finnish version of the “Huippumalli haussa” program were announced on Tuesday. A new world opened up for Sirka, 20, and the opportunity to pursue her big dream.

Nurse from Oulu Cricket, 20, competes in the Finnish Top Model search in the new season of the program. The contrast is great, because Sirkka has separated from lastiodiola only a couple of years ago.
– It feels like I’m in a completely new world. I’ve been in a bubble. I’m like, wow, not all people are bad – most are nice, lovely and good people, Sirkka describes.
Sirkka says that leaving Lestadiolia was the result of long consideration.
– It was a long process. I am satisfied with the decision, says Sirkka.
Sirkka says that he is close with his family.
Now she is aiming for a career as a top model. During the competition, Sirkan was surprised by how, as a model, you also have to go into your own discomfort zone. Filming can be on the roof of an apartment building or in freezing cold water.

Changing the fashion world
From Jyväskylä Linda, 26, is an ICT student. Linda says that she wants to change the fashion world into a body-neutral one.
In the new Huippis season, the doors were open to all applicants regardless of gender or size.
– I was excited that the application was open to everyone this year. I thought for a while about whether to apply, but in the end I came to the conclusion that there won’t be that kind of diversity if you don’t do it. I won’t say it was an obligation, but I knew I had to apply. I can be the example for younger people and why not for older people that your size, gender or age does not define you, says Linda.
Linda states that the world is already well ahead in this matter.
– That’s why it’s been a pleasure to be making the program and to be involved in shaping the Finnish scene, says Linda.

European Championship level athlete
from Vantaa Ayse, 17, is the youngest participant in the competition. Ayse is an EC-level competitive gymnast. The hobby of gymnastics has already started at the age of 6.
– Gymnastics was always the main thing for me, but at the age of 13 I became interested in a modeling career. I have gained a lot of performance experience in gymnastics, says Ayse.
Even as a small child, Ayse has watched the Suomen Huippumalli haussa competition with enthusiasm.
– You never know what will happen in life, Ayse smiles next to the Huippis photo wall.

The other side of the fashion industry
Settled in the capital region Eino, 23, has studied to become a tailor. Eino says that he has dreamed of working as a fashion designer since he was a child.
– The opportunity to do this program opened up for me. It brings a nice balance, says Eino.
– At the moment, I have a bigger drive to do modeling work. It’s my big passion, says Eino.
Eino thinks that maybe in his retirement days he could invest in fashion design.
