The action film “Top Gun: Maverick” by Joseph Kosinski celebrated its theatrical release in May. As with his predecessor “Top Gun – They fear neither death nor devil” (1986), Tom Cruise again takes on the lead role as fighter pilot Maverick in the sequel (see the cast and crew in the video interview here). Lady Gaga also produced a movie song, “Hold My Hand.”
Our review of “Maverick”:
After 30 years, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell is back in his fighter jet: The Navy pilot has big problems with authorities and therefore never managed to complete a great military career. When he causes problems again, he is summarily transferred to his old elite flight school “Top Gun”. There he is given the task of training young pilots and preparing them for a dangerous Mmission: The team is to destroy a foreign country’s heavily guarded nuclear program from the air. Maverick only has three weeks to train.
