The ninth season of ‘Topdokters’ is mainly populated by surgeons, but that doesn’t make Elske Vrieze (45) any less impressive for psychiatry professor at KU Leuven. She specializes in eating disorders that often require years of treatment. “Our approach is not comparable to that of a surgeon,” she says. “The style of interacting with a patient is my scalpel.”
