Toonkunstkoor Emmen returns to 1946 at a jubilee concert. And even then there were too few male voices

Some problems are forever. Already at the first members meeting of Toonkunst choir Emmen (TKE), on February 17, 1942, those present were called upon to ‘make some more propaganda for our association and, in particular, to recruit Heren members’. “The shortage of male voices, especially tenors, has been a constant over the years,” says Dick Vink (77). “And not just with our choir,” adds Jan Willems (73).
