Tomorrow coordination meeting between Belgian and Dutch investigators about Dean investigation | Disappearance of toddler Dean

The Belgian and Dutch investigators will hold a coordination meeting on Wednesday to coordinate the investigation into the kidnapping and death of four-year-old Dean Verberckmoes, but it is still too early to decide where 34-year-old Dave De Kock will be tried. Before that, there must first be clarity about where the victim died, it was learned from the Belgian court.

Lawyer Jef Vermassen hopes that the trial will take place in Belgium:

In the Netherlands, where the focus of the investigation is now, a detective team with 20 police officers is working on the case. De Kock is in jail for unlawful deprivation of liberty and involvement in the death of the four-year-old boy. The investigation must determine where De Kock and Dean have been in the Netherlands and where the victim was killed.

Possibly the results of the autopsy on the body, which can better estimate the time of death, can also help. The inquest was to take place tomorrow. De Kock is being questioned further in the Netherlands and he may appear before the examining magistrate on Thursday, who will decide whether he will remain in prison.
