Tomorrow code orange in the middle, south and east of the country due to heat | NOW

Due to the expected heat on Tuesday, the KNMI has issued code orange in the center, south and east of the country. The institute reports this on Monday Twitter. Temperatures will rise above 30 degrees almost everywhere in the country.

Temperatures will rise to 32 to 36 degrees in the north on Tuesday. In the east, center and south of the country it can be between 38 and 39 degrees. That is why code orange applies there from 11 a.m. on Tuesday until the evening. With this code, the institute warns of a risk of “dangerous or extreme weather with a major impact and there is a risk of damage, injury or a lot of nuisance”. Code yellow applies in the provinces of Noord-Holland, Flevoland, Friesland, and Groningen (possible risk of dangerous weather).

It will also be very warm on Monday with temperatures between 30 and 35 degrees. That is why the National Heat Plan already applies. In this way, care organizations in particular are reminded to take measures to protect vulnerable people. They can get health problems due to the heat.

Due to the weather conditions, Rijkswaterstaat has set up a heat protocol. People who are on the roadside with bad luck will be helped as soon as possible. The ANWB advises road users who want to go to the beach these days to leave early.
