Tommy Hilfiger returns to New York Fashion Week with ‘phygital’ event

Tommy Hilfiger returns to New York Fashion Week for the first time in three years. The PVH Corp-owned brand will host a runway event at fashion week showcasing the Fall 2022 collection – taking audiences “physically and digitally into the renewed brand world,” the company said on Thursday.

The event will take place on September 11th at Skyline Drive-In in Brooklyn. Inspired by New York’s creative scene, the interactive event honors the city as an epicenter for “subcultures, a collision of lo-fi and high-tech, and the fusion of style and creativity.” For founder Tommy Hilfiger, the choice was obvious: “It’s where fashion, art, music and entertainment came together when I took my first steps in the industry. And today, it’s still this approach that inspires me to engage with the innovative communities that create new creative experiences.”

In addition to New York, the event will also be observed in other places: the show will be streamed for Roblox members, and several Tommy Hilfiger stores and showrooms will pick up the ‘phygital’ event. Hilfiger has been working with Roblox since December 2021 – some exclusive, digital styles will also be offered on the Roblox platform as part of the fashion show.
