HANDBALL – Tommie Falke and his Belgian team Sporting Pelt failed to reach the final of the BENE-League. In the semi-final against Achilles Bocholt, Pelt lost 29-24.
Emmenaar Falke is in his second season with Sporting Pelt and indicated for this final weekend that he has good hopes to compete for the title. However, Achilles Bocholt started as the number one favorite in the regular competition, where Pelt managed to place fourth. It was therefore not surprising that Bocholt took control of the game from the first moment.
At halftime, the scoreboard was 14-11 in favor of Bocholt, but Pelt came out of the dressing room better. It was Falke himself who scored the equalizer at 14-14. An intermediate sprint by Bocholt ensured that the lead was restored and this time it was not given away. After the final whistle, the final score was 29-24.
For Falke, the BENE-League is over. Achilles Bocholt will soon play the final against Aalsmeer or Lions.
