Musician Tommi Läntinen co-published by the rocker Michael Monroe with a gritty, but Christmasy version Merry Xmas Everybody from the single.

The idea for the cover came spontaneously.

Both artists were recording in the studio when they ended up reminiscing about different songs and artists together.

Slade, familiar to many, returned to the minds of the musicians Merry Xmas Everybody.

– The song is so dear to both of us and to millions that it is always played at Christmas, especially in the UK, to a huge force. When it’s a classic, Läntinen describes the song.

Both appreciate the band and the song so much that they decided to make their own version of it. Monroe hopes that this way the song will become more familiar to Finns.

– It was a great feeling. Rough, yes, but it came from the heart, Läntinen says about the singing moment.

– Slade was the first rock band I saw live as a little boy. Singer Noddy Holder took over the audience in a completely unimaginable way, Monroe said.

You can listen to the Christmas joint song from Spotify.

With the song, the rockers want to wish everyone a peaceful Christmas season.
