Tomato-feta pie is an easy pastry

The richly cheesy pie gets its color from tomatoes and basil.

Super simple and best of all – a super delicious tomato-feta pie works as a lunch with a salad or served salty on the coffee table. The instructions uploaded to the recipe service Kotikokki have already collected more than 100,000 views.

Tomato and feta pie

(8 servings)

1 pie crust

2 eggs

1 cup of whipped cream

approx. 75 g of grated mozzarella or other grated cheese

200 g cherry tomatoes

100 g feta cubes

1/3 tsp ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

a few basil leaves

1. Press the pie crust into the pan.

2. Mix the texture of the chicken eggs in a broken bowl and pour in the whipped cream and grated cheese. Season with salt and pepper.

3. First spread the feta cubes/crumbled feta and some of the split cherry tomatoes on the pie base. Then pour the filling on top and place a few more cherry tomatoes, cut side up, into the filling.

4. Bake in a 200-degree oven for about 30–40 minutes. Garnish with torn basil leaves and let cool for a while!
